ATC

ATC (AIEMA Technology Centre) an offshoot of AIEMA was formed during 1985, to facilitate a common meeting place for looking after the interest of its members. ATC focuses on Business Promotion, Infusing newer Technology into the Member units, Training & HRD Programmes at all levels of member units.

ATC is the technology wing of AIEMA, an autonomous branch having its own infrastructure. The facility includes Conference Halls, Restaurant, Playground maintained for use by the Member units. The Government of Tamil Nadu and Central Government recognize AIEMA Technology Centre for conducting HRD and Entrepreneur Development Programmes.

Tie up with Technology Institutions like IIT for small Industry with Management Programmes under Enterpreneur Development Training Courses and Anna University under continuing Higher Education wherein Diploma holders with an year’s experience can do part time B.E Degree course to upgrade their technical status. AlEMA Technology Centre Educational Trust (ATCET) was formed to look after such activities.

ACMEE, International Industrial Exhibition was initiated to assist the marketing of the products manufactured by our member units and also to create an International Platform of engineering industries to exchange / share the technology improvements. AIEMA & ATC has been conducting a biennial Exhibition since 1994. The 10th Exhibition ACMEE 2012 will be held in Chennai Trade Centre during 14th to 18th June 2012.

AlEMA Technology centre has set up an AIEMA Business Information Centre (ABIC), to focus on providing Information on markets at Home and around the globe, emerging technologies, sources, trade news and opportunities wherever they may be not just in Chennai or Tamil Nadu or India or Srilanka. Under existing WTO regime, we have got to develop World Vision of Business and start learing the ABIC of global trading know-how. Side by side ABIC shall disseminate update relevant reports on all peripheral issues that affect the welfare of all SME’s such as Government Policies, Finance, Taxation, Laws and rules, pertaining to employment and environment protection. ABIC shall arrange lectures, Seminars and build up technical libraries both printed and electronic media.

ATC also caters to the members’ needs by providing :

Conference Facilities Member Units can conduct Board meetings and Seminars for upto 150 people.
Banquet facilities. Restaurant, Light Refreshment Stall and Conference Catering.
Worker Development programme. Concentrating on Skill and Personality Development.
Executive Development Programme. Both Managerial and Technical.
Community Development Programme. Training Programmes aimed at Self-Employment are conducted.
Sports Facilities – ATC boasts of a very strong Cricket, Volley Ball, football and Kabaadi teams. ATC also has four flood lit Shuttle Cock Courts, one Basket ball Court, one volley Ball Court and one Kabaadi Layout. ATC has also developed a 300 metre Walker’s /Jogger’s track for the use of its members.
CNC Training Centre - ATC has set up a CNC Training Centre for providing technical training of various operators in CNC Turning, Milling, Grinding Centres, CAD/CAM, Industrial Automation, etc. Intensive short term courses are being conducted regularly providing hands-on training in CNC lathe and programming. Our focus is to train the candidates in the CNC field inorder to fill the shortage of skilled manpower thereby sustaining the growth of MSMEs in and around Ambattur Industrial Estate. ATC have entered into an agreement with Vaazhndhu Kattuvom District Society towards training and Employment of the Rural Youth.

A Jewel in ATC’s Crown is the Certification of ATC to ISO 9001:2008 by TUV South Asia. We understand that ATC is one of the first Association of its kind to awarded the ISO Certificate.
